Christopher Kidder-MostromChristopher (he/him) is a Seattle-based director, choreographer, playwright, and actor who also runs Latitude Theatre, whose mission includes "providing a safe and supporting space for actors to learn and practice stage combat." His fight choreography has been seen in The Wickhams: Christmas at Pemberly and A Woman of No Importance at Taproot Theatre, where he's currently choreographing Sherlock Holmes and the Precarious Position. His other Seattle area work recently included Shakespeare in Love at Kamiak High School. Additionally, his fight choreography has been seen in Chicago, Minneapolis/Saint Paul, and at Clark University (Massachusetts). Past favorites include Superior Donuts and Heathers the Musical.
Chris is the creator of A Klingon Christmas Carol, the only adaptation of the Dickens classic to include five stage fights. Since moving to Seattle in 2019, Chris has hosted Monday Night Fights, an ongoing open workout/hangout for the area's fight family, held monthly on the third Monday evening at Theatre Puget Sound. Creating opportunities for stage combatants and choreographers is how he attempts to better the community. Chris is a proud member of the Stage Directors and Choreographer's Society (SDC), Actors Equity (AEA), and SAG-AFTRA. |
