Raya Tuffaha

In 2026, Raya will teach:
Unarmed Foundations - Beginner (Unarmed)

Raya (she/her) is a Palestinian actor, fight director and writer from Seattle. She is an Advanced Actor Combatant with the SAFD, and is developing ethnographic research on audience-performer power dynamics in staged violence. Her fights have been seen at theatres and schools across Seattle, including Union Arts Center, Reboot Theatre, Renton Civic Theatre, Latitude Theatre, Theatre33, Ballyhoo Theatre, and more. Raya's also training as an intimacy coordinator. She's interested in muscular stories. 

Publications include To All the Yellow Flowers (Golden Antelope Press, 2020), apocalypse blues (2022), as well as with Seattle Opera, and in Mizna Online, Phoebe Journal, Button Poetry, & The Louisville Review. Arab America's 30 Under 30. BA Swarthmore College, add'l
